need info on Cragar wheels for 1960
I bought a 1960 vette that needs work.....one of the things that I am considering is putting on some Cragar SS wheels or something else that might catch my eye. What I don't know is what will fit and do I need spacers for sure.
I would like to get the widest wheel sizes that will still stay under the fender of the car without any flares or modifying the body at all. What sizes will work?
I thought I read some place that the spacers are just needed for the front wheels is that right?
Do I need to change out the wheel lugs with these spacers added? If so, what size and where can I get them?
Do I seem lost on this topic...YUP I am.....so some help here would be great...also if anyone has pictures of their C1's with aftermarket wheels of some sort on them...that would be great too.
let me know...regards, Herb

cragar ss were the easy choise..hard part?
hard part is figuring out if you want the letters showing on the bf goodrich radial T/A's or not was a 50-50 vote ..luckly the bf goodrich's are reversable so you can change them to black every other year.. i sort of like the cragar ss with the white letters showing when you have white cove's to contrast it off..but i'm inj the minority I think ..I think it givges it that 60's hot rod look a bit while keeping the original lines of the 58-60 which has has if not the best lines and curves in vette history has to be in the top 2 IMHO

Aluminum wheels
Check out my '61 with aluminum mags. Had them when I got it. The caps are Cragars. The wheels, I don't know.
