Am I the only one thats not a big aero body fan?
I love TT Callaways but can not stand those bodies...
anyway, I heard (prob from the 2 above at some point) that Callaway
was going to offer them.

After reading this post all I have in my head is the Knack song with a
twist:
Oh my little pretty one, my pretty one
When you gonna give me some time shinoda
Oh you make my motor run, my motor run
Gun it coming off of the line shinoda
Never gonna stop
Give it up
Such a dirty mind
Always get it up
From the touch of the younger kind
My My My My My Whoa
My Shinoda
Come a little closer huh
Will ya huh
Close enough to look in my eyes shinoda
Keeping it a mystery gets to me
Running down the length of my thighs shinoda
Never gonna stop
Give it up
Such a dirty mind
Always get it up
From the touch of the younger kind
My My My My My Whoa
My Shinoda
When you gonna get to me, get to me
Is it just a matter of time shinoda
Is it destiny destiny
Or is it just a game in my mind shinoda
Never gonna stop
Give it up
Such a dirty mind
Always get it up
From the touch of the younger kind
My My My My My Whoa
My Shinoda

Re: callaway aero body kit (Jeffvette)
Thanks Jeff I appreciate you trying to support me and my project like that :D :D :D It is different but the molds are being made from urithane parts like the factory pieces. There will be no fit probs and there will be no bubbles in the glass it will be bolt on and paint. Terry is still working on molds so I cant say how soon it will be for sale but he did say he will have a nose ready to take to Daytona in 2 weeks
who are you referring to Jim M I would like to ask him many ?s about that kit

Re: Shinoda aero body kit (zr11990broken)
I know of about 9 ZR-1 Shinoda bodies and 15 corvette Shinoda bodies. There is one installed on a Grand Sport. There are several Shinoda body kits uninstalled, at least 2 of which are ZR-1. My 90 Red Candy ZR-1 #245 was built by Shinoda-Williams and called the Rick Mears Special. I'll post some pics as soon as I figure out how it works. Any suggestions?
ZR11990broken--Let me know when you make the new kit available.

Callaway Aero Body
Here are a couple of pix of the Callaway Aerobody on a ZR1. To date, there have been 19 of these bodies installed on ZR1s. One car has been wrecked recently but will be rebuilt when Callaway makes the rear panel available once again.
To my knowledge, Callaway (via their Aerobody fiberglass vendor) is the only source for these body parts and they will only sell repair parts to previously registered Aerobodyj owners.
Unlike the Shinoda kit with urethane front and rear pieces, the Callaway parts are all hard fiberglass -- not so good for parallel parking, but excellent for work about 150mph.
Here are some Aerobody pix urls:

Re: callaway aero body kit (racer959)
Racer959 was looking for an aerobody kit to buy. I didn't see where he was asking people's opinions of them. Why all the bashing?
If you don't have something good to say,why say anything?

Re: callaway aero body kit (USAZR1)
You need to have a place to host your pictures then open the picture right click, hit properties , highlight, copy then go the forum in the post hit image then in between In the center of [img] [img] right click hit paste “the picture properties”. The guy on the forum was offering free http://www.photohost.org/ to forum members if not here is another one http://www.imagestation.com/. Hope this helps.

Re: callaway aero body kit (Redmanf1)
Redman,
Thank for the image posting tip, but I actually intended to just include the urls in my previous posting. The second url has 6 or more pictures in it and it would not be too good for people with dial-up connections.
Just in case anyone thinks I was bashing the Callaway Aerobodies, please re-read my post. I actually own two Callaway Aerobody cars right now, so I guess you could say that I sort of like them.

Re: callaway aero body kit (Mangusta1969)
Clint,
I would not call it bashing going on? A couple people said we don't like them, yet we both offered info
regarding his post? Also another body kit was mentioned and some were providing info on that body
that the originator asked for.
Isn't that the idea of the forum? To answer people's questions and state our opinions?
Also we can only say good things?
I know you like/owned a aero bodied ZR1 (which from what I could tell was a nice example of one),
I guess I should not state my opinion unless its asked for or its a positive one?
also where is the bashing going on?

Re: callaway aero body kit (Bans25)
Sorry, guys. It just seems like that every time someone starts asking questions about aerobody kits, half the posters start making negative comments before the thread gets off the ground. I've seen this in numerous threads about this particular subject over the years. Not trying to stifle Free Speech or anything.

Re: callaway aero body kit (racer959)
Racer,
The Blue CR1 from Chicago WAS for sale a while ago, but I snatched it up in August and moved it from Chicago to San Diego. I have put about 3,000 miles on it since the purchase. It is a lot of fun.
It now lays in wait for the occasional Ferrari, Viper, and hotted-up BMW M drivers of SoCal now. Only the dashboard, hood, top, glass, driveshaft, and the carpet in the car remain 100% stock ZR1 parts.
