Default Trouble code under 28-TCS C1233 H C (Right Front Wheel Speed Circuit)

I have a code which is turning my traction control and abs lights on.

I looked up the code and it says if is a right front wheel speed circuit open or shorted.

What is this, and how can I fix it?

Thanks for any advice.

Replace the wheel speed sensor jumper harness (lead that goes to the sensor mounted to the lower control arm)...Common problem :yesnod:

I'm getting a similar code, C1235 and/or C1238 (the right-rear wheel speed sensor). C5Tech, could you elaborate on what has to be replaced? Is it just the harness from the weatherpack connector on back to inside the wheel well? It's just an intermittent problem, but I'd like to know what I have to do to get it fixed. Thanks!

The 2ft section of jumper harness that connects to the front wheel speed sensor mounts to the lower control arm.Due to suspension travel, over time this harness will get an intermittent open or high resistance in the wiring. The harness was redesigned and left and right jumper harnesses are the same part# 10332527 and easy to replace, about $35.00 each.

Given that,a simple diagnoses would be to swap the jumper harnesses left to right to see if the fault moves to the other side ;) Wheel speed sensores are commonly misdiagnosed when the fault is simply the jumper harness that goes to the speed sensor :yesnod:

Thanks for the reply.

I checked this weekend, and someone unplugged the connector when I had some A/C Compressor work done.

Sprayed some electric clean, and works perfectly again.

Thanks.

I too had this Problem. I fixed it about three weeks ago by Changeing the Battery and spraying the contacts To the hub transmiter of the effected wheel with a "tech" spray. Before the fix, I would get "Service TC ABS and Active Handeling" every time I hit a bump, But no more :hurray:
