*** Nice Mako Shark II for sale ***
I've always kinda liked these cars, not sure if I'd pay the 40K the guy's asking for it but still a nice car.

There was a 69 Vette with the same Mako Shark front for sale here in Miami... He was only asking $8500.... $40 seems way too pricey...

That's not too bad. I'm not sure if this supposed to be one of original mako body kits or just a very expensive replica!? ;)

Re: *** Nice Mako Shark II for sale *** ('79ProwlerOrange)
Thanks :D
That's one for sale there is a standard, complete, Motion/Silva Maco, including the gas cap (came in the kit). Only variation is the tail-lights and the use of standard side-pipes instead of the Hookers. The tail-light panel in the kit is just a blank area that you can do whatever you want to. I like his tail-lights, it's the way I want to change mine to be like (like the real Mako Shark II).
His logo on the side just appears to be a vinyl graphic. We can get you those if you like. Later on in January or February I will have correct 3D metal versions of the Mako Shark II logo & shark. I will also have the correct metal inserts for the different places on the hood.

I was looking through some pictures of Silva-made Maco's today, and the Maco that he shows in his flyer had the standard Corvette side pipes like that one for sale there.

I've always liked these cars and went to visit the website... Looks good, but membership (even if free) just to look at the pictures is a major turn off to me.

That's all right... I don't really care about the people that only come to look at pictures. We care about people that have Maco's and participate in the forums. People interested in sharing information, not just coming to get freebies. That is what the site is about :D

I went and looked at it. It looks great in photos. The Mako Shark II emblem on the side is hand painted on.
I've got more pictures of the car on my web site... and yes, you can view them by just using your mouse (for those of you that don't type much). The owner is Wayne Fields (rockcrusher67). The guy was interesting, he has 13 Corvettes around in his yard & garages---all of them 50's & 60's, except for the Mako.
