Damaged Museum Corvette's to be Restored
I looked through some of the posts and did not see this, sorry if it is a dup.
This was announced at a press conference yesterday at the museum.
GM has made the commitment to restore the 8 corvette's that fell in the sink hole. Once the cars are retrieved they will be sent to Warren Mich. and Chevrolet will be overseeing restoration of the Corvettes damaged. The process will be managed by General Motors Design in Warren, Mich.

It isn't a new thread saying there was a sink hole that swallowed up some Vette's and the NCM.
It is a different subject, I for one have not gone back in the thread to read 100 replies of what a shame it is to have happened.
So, I would not have known this had it not been posted outside of that thread.
So when the Corvettes are restored someone should not start a new thread with pics of them, they should dig up the sink hole thread and post them in there?

If you don't want to read the thread you did not need to click on it. As for where it is posted, I knew a lot more people would see it here than in the Off Topic section. As for thirty other post on the sink hole, I did say that if this is a dup I am sorry.

That is great news. Hopefully they were not totaled to the point they are too damaged to repair but I guess sitting in a museum standards is a lot different than driving it.
I have no problems with it be posted here. Heck, vendors can post non-C6 related adds here so why not.

Jeeeze Louise! Didn't realize we had so many post police officers out there. Pulling over an OP and harassing them for no reason. Why don't you go out and catch some real criminals.

Good on General Motors! GM has a sizeable collection of cars (spanning the years) which are important and if damaged, cannot be replaced...they must be restored. What a freak occurrence!
