Default Is the B&B Route 66 quieter than the stock Ti?

Thank God I bought them used for much cheaper than new! My car sounds like a Lexus!! Seems they would be great if you added LT's, but on stock manifolds, worthless! I just ordered Borla S-types for a very good price!

With LT's, Im sure it would sound awesome, but with stock manifolds, I feel sorry for people who paid 1K brand new for some new tips.

You might want to read some of the thousands of exhaust threads on the forum before plunking done money for a new catback. My first aftermarket exhaust was a Borla Stinger set I bought used for $250. I believe your new system is the same. Good news for you; they ain't quiet. Bad news; they're gonna have some drone at highway speed. (resonance) Up to you if you can put up with it, even with a partition.

Thanks.

I'm not sensitive to drone.

I have Route 66 on my c5 Zo6 with LTs and no cats. It sounds good, but still quieter at WOT than I like. PRT is what I want, but traded for these so didn't cost me anything. I had bullets when I bought car which gave me headache. But I think bullets would be ok if had manifolds and cats.

I had that setup with stock manifolds and the volume was fine, but the interior resonance/vibration(even at normal acceleration) at times was annoying.

Default Route 66

Another thing I don't like is the size of Route 66. I think the tips are too big! Corsa has nice clean size tips. Bigger than little stock ones but not monstrosity.

sounds like the Route 66 would be a good choice for a Convertable they should get slightly louder as they are broke in... Base C5 exhaust is quiet and Z06 Ti are good but not super loud.. Im sticking with stock, ive had enough loud cars in the past... I like me some sleeper! (lol as much as a vette can be a sleeper that is...)

I like big tips, and I cannot lie. These are Corsa "Daytona" tips.

Not a great photo, but the big oval tips fit the overall lines of the C5, IMO.

I like those! Dual instead of quad so looks clean.

I also have R66's., slightly louder than stock, originally had BB Bullets, the drone was
intolerable, cool sound for a while then novelty wore off.
Didn't find tips to be large at all, if anything they are too small, son has BB Prt's., on his Z
nice compromise between Bullets & R66's.

PRT's on son's Z
