Forum rules? Not sure.

Common sense? Snapping a picture of the dash while driving a car at 152 mph is against so many other "rules", I can't begin to catalog them all.

Okay to post as long as you did it in Mexico. Looks legit to me. RPM matches MPH in 4th gear.

Should be just as long as any other LT1. These engines weren't made to put around town like a midsize sedan, although they can do that well too.

You guys are probably right, dyno. Last thing I would be doing is taking a pix at this speed.

Kind of stupid to run high speed on the dyno, builds up too much heat in the tires for no good reason. It's a big no-no on a motorcycle dyno, but I guess for cars it's OK?

That moose rack is awesome. Alaska? Did the car pull very hard as it approached redline in 4th? I am hunting in MT and waiting for my c7 to show up at edmark. I would love that moose on my wall!

There made by gm, with today's quality control. Yep blown
engine coming for sure. Things are not made like in the past.
Stress limits now are pushed thin, corners cut to max profits.

You're right "shift" but I couldn't steer, take a pic and shift all at the same time. Thought I should limit my risk...at least a little. No doubt I could have pulled up to +160mph. 5th gear would have put it right in the sweet spot of the power of the LT1.

Here is another pic for all you nonbelievers. It was taken moments before the run. It was on a VERY desolate highway in Idaho. Living in the non-populated West has its advantages. If I had not had the camera phone in my right hand I could have grabbed 5th gear and pull to 160mph+. Maybe I should run a video up to top speed and post that. My mom would not be impressed though...
