Default Behind the plant today

These photos are from a bible study friend who is at the plant today for the Hall of Fame induction (tonight) of a UAW guy 'Will Cooksi' who I think used to work at the plant. They know each other and he was invited up for the big day. They're going back now to change for the big dinner tonight.

Anyway he was able to shoot these from behind the plant this afternoon. He said there's a few hundred in all colors and haulers are pulling up. They'll inspect them once more and cover them and he thinks they'll leave 'soon' what ever that means.

He had a special tour, got to see most of the line (camera was taken away before tour started ) and confirmed they're running about 20 a shift (didn't say how many shifts) for just over a month now. So some of you that have vin's, look for your car in the photo .

He may send some more 'phone' photos but this is all so far. I forgot to mention, he said there were about 500 there. How many 'Vette dealers do we have?

Since you're local and a mod, you should give rides to all of us forum members when you get your C7 lol. Nice pics!

These guys don't mess around. Even the gray rolling garbage can in the last pic has staggered wheels on it!

Not local, I'm in North Ga and he is as well. I did work out something maybe with my dealer. Since I'm going to let the car come here to save time, I'll volunteer to take one of his museum delivery customers up there from Atl for gas (two tanks) and meals. He's pretty sure that won't take long to fill. Person will get to ride from Atlanta to B/G in a Torch Red Z51. What a introduction ride that person will have. That way I can still get my museum deliver tour tagging along with the customer .

We got the arial view, now ground level. Next, someone needs to sneak in tonight and get stealth shots of the cars and Vin #'s.

Could do it, I'm only about 1/2 mile from the dam at Lake Lanier right between GA 400 and the Gainsville HWY and 85N. My friend who's at the plant is in the Marietta club. I may join the Gainsville one but waiting on my car 1st.

Thansk for the awesome pics!

One observation....Of the 9 or 10 C7s of which I can make out the wheels, not a single set of black rims, even though 37% of the orders have black rims. I hope there is not a constraint on them. Anyone with black rims get a vin # yet?

They haven't made it until those vehicles make it to the dealers. Doesn't it strike you as odd that all of those cars are sitting there yet nobodies orders were going past 3300 until about two days ago?

Bottom line though is that its looking like they are going to make it, and congrats to the lucky buyers. I have a good friend on this forum (most people know her) who is getting one, and I'm PRETTY sure I'll get a ride in it

Tomorrow is Sept. 1st. They have time to start getting them out. Some folks are making this sound like they have to have them all delivered by the end of Sept.
He said there's a few hundred in all colors and haulers are pulling up. They'll inspect them once more and cover them and he thinks they'll leave 'soon' what ever that means.

I really hope there is not a constraint on the black wheels. It wasn't mentioned in the current constraint thread though.
