Default Short intake

Thinking about tilting my radiator forward in the racecar. If I do that, I need to put the air intake someplace. The most common is to put it down in place of one of the headlights, but I do not want to do that. Clas regs prohibit going through the frame rails. What would be the problem with sticking a K&N filter right on the front of the throttle body? The hood is well vented, and the airflow through the radiator is pretty far away, allowing it time to cool. Sure would be clean to have a short air intake right on the front. Anyone done this, or have an opinion?

There would be no problem in doing it. If there was no ventilation and hot air was all it could take in, it would not be ideal. It would still work though. It sounds like it will be alright in your case.
