Default Just bought my dad a C6 !

Signed up to the forum today and it's my first post.

Just wanted to share a quick story I'm sure you guys can appreciate. My dad has wanted a Corvette his entire life and figured if it was ever gonna happen it would probably be for his 65th birthday which is later this month in May. Well, he'll probably be pretty dissapointed because he definitely won't get it on his birthday, but rather in late June for his surprise retirement party we are throwing him!!

I'm super stoked (most importantly because I have to "hide it" and enjoy it at my house for the next almost 2 months, hehe).

Just ordered a custom license plate for him I thought would be cool as well.

We got him an 06' Convertible with Z51 package and lt3 trim

Quick Question:
Did some quick searching and couldn't find much on it but I have a sticker in the engine bay that has basically turned white from the heat and I would like to get a fresh one. Who sells replacements? (Pictures attached showing sticker & location - not my engine)

When I get home around 5pm I have a link on my computer that sells all car labels. I will post it up when I get in.

I had the same issue with my '07 and I also need the latch for the glove box, so I contact Gene at GM Parts House. He advised me that he had them but they were smaller then the original. I opted not to get it. I removed mine with a hair dryer.

just like mine except for the color. He's gonna love it. My sticker is white, too. I don't think I'm gonna mess with it.

That was a great gesture . I bought a new car for my folks a few years ago, but couldn't be a sports car. And more recently bought them a house, so another car for him is out of the question. But I'm sure he'd have liked the surprise of a car more the house. But they needed the house more.

Anyway, at least from your photo looks like previous owner might have converted the engine to dry-sump. Or at least relocated the battery to the hatch, but maybe it's just your photo. If there's no dry-sump tank where the battery goes, then you'll have to remove the right valve cover to expose the oil filler cap, so you can tell your dad. Good luck, and take some photos when you deliver the surprise .

If you're talking about the engine photo then ya, it's not the engine in mine. It's a random z06 engine bay pic I found online and just circled the sticker so everyone could see what I was talking about

Thanks for the help though
