1998 c5 corvette. Check it out. Pewter
Up for sell is my 1998 c5 corvette. Pewter in color, black and grey interior, 6-speed. Clean title. I've owned the car for the past 4 years. I bought the car with around 110k miles off a former tech of Synergy Motorsports. The car had a fresh rebuilt engine with around 1000 miles on it, and since I have put around 25k miles on the new build. The body now has around 140k miles on it. Car has been garage kept since I've owned it. Nonetheless, this Car is meant to be a drivers car. I've daily driven for the most part since I've owned it, And leave it in the garage for the majority of the winter. It has its fair share of wear and tear on its exterior for a lowered 15 year old car.. Car is smogged and ready to go.
Car has piston slap at start up. Goes away once warmed up. If you dont know what that is, please do your own research online. Has no negative affect on the engine.
9,000 or best offer.
List of upgrades,
- custom grind cam 226 single pattern +3 on a 116 lsa
-ARP head bolts
-Textralin stage 3, six puck clutch
-3.73 gears
- Synergy built transmission (Was told it was a level 5). Built by Rick himself.
-Msd wires (changed 10k miles ago
-AC Delco sparkplugs (changed 10k miles ago)
-dropped on stock bolts
-Hurst Short shifter
-c5 corvette black out kit (tinted black overlays for all
lights on car. can all be removed easily)
-Plastic dipped z06 grill pieces for front bumper
-10 or 15% tint on rear and side windows (not quite sure
but its dark)
-6k HID head lights
-Drilled and slotted rotors
-new battery (as of september)
-Powder Coated black c5 rims
-Fronts-BFG TDWs 275-45-17 (brand new with less then 3000 miles on them)
-Rears-BFG TDWs 295-35-18 (brand new with less then 3000 miles on them) Will contiune to grow as I drive the car daily.
Spent over 1100 on the tires alone recently have paperwork
Few problems with car are as followed,
-AC doesn't work. Condenser has been removed as well as belt, AC assembly is still there. Don't know if it actually doesn't work or if it just needs to be pieced together and hooked up. Never felt the need to fix it. Car has removable top.
-3rd gear grinds. If you shift slow it won't. But still needs to be repaired
Test drives only with cash in hand and other signed paperwork. No joy rides.

Bumping it back up. Im not in a hurry to sell, love the car to death.
I'd trade up for a c6 obviously with cash on top on my end. Or a stock c5 z06 with again cash on top on my end. I work/own a smog shop now, soo its a bit counterproductive to own a car that doesnt pass smog haha.

Threw me off..
Can you get me some pictures of imperfections on the car.. Front clip, any dent ding, heavy scratches, etc.. Anything that I would look at while looking the car over.
I have a 370 and auto going in it, Im not worried about the motor or trans.
