Default 72 LT-1 Intake manifold bolts

Does anyone know what length the two front right bolts are?

Are you sure that you don't mean the two front left (driver side) bolts?

Those two are definitely longer by a 1/4" or so as they had to pass through the engine lift bracket. Headmarks are typically different as well.

If you actually meant the right side, I'm at a loss... Why would they need to be different?

I think the very front bolt goes into a blind hole and the second one is open to the lifter valley? Just be careful that they do not bottom out or strike the push rods. Length depends on lift bracket also. mike...

That's why I'm asking. I removed both RIGHT FRONT bolts and the front one is about 1/4 inch shorter. I thought they should be the same.
The front one doesn't look stock and I was wondering if I could put a 1 1/8" long bolt in there.
Thanks guys.

Why don't you just stick something down in the bolt hole and see how deep it is?

Keep the shiny side up!

Thanks Scotty... That's what I did, then ran a tap down there to clean out the threads and installed a 1 1/8 bolt. All is well.
