F1R results and help
Hey guys my buddy got his car built.
LSX block 9:1 compression
F1R with 3.4 pulley i think
We converted the car to e85 and took it to the dyno. We did the first past with 12 deg of timing and the car made 840 or so. Turned the timing up to 16 and made 920s.
The problem that we are having is the car stops making boost after 5900 rpm. It was dropping. We tightened the belt and as per the log it stays around 230-220kpa from 6k to 7k . Also the IAT are shooting up to 192 at 7k. I was told by Bret that F1R run hot but that is really hot from my tuning experience. The intercooler he has is a 25x9x3.5 .
To resolve the belt slip i told him to get a shorter belt so we could have more adjustment with the flipdrive. I also think it could be the boost could be dropping because of the excessive heat.
What would be the biggest core he can fit on his car right now without having to do any more modifications or laying it down .
Any input would be great guys.
Thanks,

With a 8" crank and 3.4" blower pulley, its our of air and way out of its efficiency range. All you are doing is making heat. Go back up to a 3.75".

Yah I know I just don't know what the current impeler speed is I do not know how to do the calculations. The car has a stock crank pulley. Can you help me with doing the calculations?

If ur damper is 7.25 and pulley is 3.4 ur maxed out at 6k rpm and making heat is all after 6k rpm.
