I have a disease! Can't Stop Modding!
I bought my 08 Victory Red coupe just over two weeks ago. Since then I've purchased and installed:
I just purchased, but have yet to install:
This morning I was checking out front and side racemesh grill inserts in black chrome.
DOES IT EVER STOP? I have motorcycles, one is a custom show bike, so I'm usually buying 'farkle' (sparkle and function) for the bike, but this is the first car I've ever gone nuts over customizing! Tell me I'm not unique and that this is a common side-effect of 'Corvette Fever'? :-)
- MagnaFlow stainless exhausts, pipes and double-wall angle tips
- Curb Alert
- Tinted 'glass' top for the solid top
- HID fog lights
- BlendMount and Mirror Tap for radar detector
- Color coded rear license plate frame
- Zaino products (and spent many happy hours detailing)
I just purchased, but have yet to install:
- LED interior light combo (trunk, footwell, map, glovebox) in red
- Leather C6 embroidered console cover
This morning I was checking out front and side racemesh grill inserts in black chrome.

It'll slow down as you start getting into the more costly variety of mods, but that generally means there's only more time spent between mods.
This is a great platform to improve and individualize upon, if it wasn't - there wouldn't be thousands of vendors that supply a wide range of parts.
Just dropped mine off yesterday for an "exterior" adjustment.
Enjoy.

Hey - you need to look at the upside. Eventually when you are done modding the car and interested in moving on to your next Corvette, all the money and time you spent in mods will be of absolutely no value to a potential buyer . . . . . .ummmmm . . . . . . . . . Never mind

Should we inform your wife?
I don't know why I even started.
Oh it was hot inside, so I did two layers of dynamat throughout car. I wanted better sound, DNX8120, bigger-better speakers amp etc. Then stainless exhaust would be nice.Followed by Bilstein shocks.Z06 springs,Z51 swaybars with upgraded end links painted calipers, staiinless brake lines, ceramic pads, urethane mounts, oil cooler, Dewitts radiator, 160 thermostat ,Casper hi/lo fan control, silicone hoses, oil catch can, 200 amp alternator, bigger -better battery,Varram air cleaner,Vtek charger with built in jumper cables, hud ,Escort 9500ci built in detector, dashtronix radar projector, line lock with custom DSV leather shifter **** (button designed by me), shifter & parking brake boots, visors (with homelink) and Dash, ported throttle body Chuck Cow 3.42 rear end, tune and booster, upgraded hood liner and underhood light,Lloyd mats front and rear,3LT rear view mirror, & 2 extra sets of wheels.
Its a sickness and I've only just begun
The sad thing is I'm maybe 55% done with a 12 year restoration on a 65 Chevelle and the Vette kind of took over

53 mods at an average of $200.00 each equals $10,600.00, and I just ordered a new one today and intend to order two more Monday, plus I just signed up for lifetime up-dates on two of my Garmin GPS units. However I'm totally satisfied I have a much better car for my purposes than anything from the factory simply because they don't offer a GT model. I look at the Corvette as a place to start rather than a finished piece of work. Likely, many others do as well.

Hehehe....never stops.... The list in my signature is only about 60% of what I have done so far and I have much more that I want to do.....it is definitely a sickness.... And I also have not 1 but 2 Harley's in the garage..... They mainly sit lately cause of the Vette.
