2012 C6 ZR1... what's with these wing mirrors? Are they new?
This C6 ZR1 (UK Spec) has what appear to be newly restyled wing mirrors... what's this about? Are they a feature of the '12s? Are they aftermarket? Is this a C7 undercover?! Lay it on me people.

More info on those new mirrors. I think they look way better than what has been on there before.

If I'm not mistaken, I thought I had read that the U.K./England/Europe/Over There required those types of mirrors.
I was reading because back before the '11 Camaros came out there was a picture with them having mirrors like this ... in the U.K., which made a number of people post about it being a law.
It had something to do with how the cars' mirrors were very small at first and law required bigger mirrors for viewing and safety.
I know there's a number of 'laws' that cars that go over there have to satisfy. I believe this is one of them. Not new mirrors, not a C7, just a requirement for over there.

They are European spec, they have different rules than we do, their mirrors have to be larger than on North American cars, Corvette's have had different mirrors for Europe and Japan for years

We have C5 designed mirrors on our C6s. They where designed for the less edgy curvier C5. These Euro Spec mirrors are sharper and match the lines of the C6 better.

Those mirrors look like they belong with the trailer-pulling package.
If the car came standard like that, there would be a huge aftermarket for smaller and more streamlined mirrors- just like we have now.

For those who said that they're EDM / JDM standard issue, I don't think you're right about that... I've seen many export C6s over the years in videos, photos, etc. and until now none of them have had mirrors like that.

Maybe it's a newly revised law as of 2011? Either way, I am also one of the few that believe the mirrors look good. Would be interested in seeing more photos, but interestingly enough I can't find any.
