Default 283 specs needed

Hi gang. A buddy of mine is wanting some help. Figured you could supply the information needed or supply a link to it.

In 1961 the corvette had an optional 315 hp fuel injected engine. I'm trying to find out the cam, head and piston spechs for that engine. The 315 hp was the highest output 283 manufactured by chevy and he would possibly like to mimic that engine with the engine he purchased.

Hope you can helps us out. Thanks

i really think the 315 number was generous at best....it was a solid lifter engine with 62 or 64 cc heads and 2.02 intake valves and 1"5/8 exhaust...from memory i think the cam was an 097=098 and compression was 11.25 to one....you could do a lot better with new after market components including heads and cam than in the old days but to each his own...good luck..jmho....
