Ok Everyone.. Its that time of the year again... Leaf Peeping time And what a better and more scenic place to PEEP then a return to the Mohonk Mountain House for Sunday Brunch!!!!!
For those of you who missed the last run at the end of May check for the pics... here is the website to the place.. All I can say is absolutely SPECTACULAR!!! Afterall it used to be the meeting place for the UN

www.mohonk.com
For those of you who might be unaware, this is a National Historic Hotel of America. It is closed to the public and you cannot even access the property without a reservation in the hotel or for dining.
While the cost for Brunch is a bit high, if you think about every other time we all go out it really is ballpark. The price includes brunch, all taxes and gratuities, as well as access to the property. I have listed the activities as well as the menu below:
Cost is $65 per person- I know this is high but includes the access fee to the facility and the food is well ..... phenomenal
Meeting Spot: 9am Bear Mountain Inn... see this link for directions http://www.visitbearmountain.com/directions
Depart: 9:30am from Bear Mtn.
Arrive: At 12 noon for Brunch, pictures, wandering, etc.
Route: TBD but will include lots of twisties and some great straightaways and scenery for sure
ATTIRE: Resort Casual is requested by the Mohonk, Jeans are ok, however it would be preferable for Men not to wear Tshirts.

I guess that they don't do Sunday Brunch on Saturday.
We will be doing the Narrows Botanical Gardens Harvest Festival that day. Sorry.

Maybe I (and some others) should have not responded unless it was affirmative. This is the first day of your thread and I wouldn't give up on the 18th yet. I heard good things about this trip last year but whatever the date there will always be some that can't make it. For now I guess I better just watch how this evolves...

Kimmie. The main thing in your decision should be when the fall foliage is at it's peek. One windy day after peak season and all the leaves and colors are gone.
But I'm still in!

Still on the fence as to what date to keep the 18th or the 25th?
Weigh in please people.. they have both dates available
There are a bunch of other things going on on the 18th so that was my thought in moving it.
However.. not sure if it will still be "PEAK" peep time on the 25th or if the leaves will have fallen by then
decisions decisions

general concensus seems to be to leave the 18th.
I think I will.. that way god forbid it rains I might be able to switch it to the following sunday (although they usually dont let us do that but Ill cross my fingers)
KEEPING IT THE 18TH
