Twin Rearmount Turbo Sizing Question
Typically what turbo sizes are being run on Twin rearmount configurations, either custom or the STS kits?
On an A4 with 3200 stall and 3.42 gears, How well would a pair Precision SC44 (58mm compressor, .63 a/r T3 turbine, journal bearing) spool and work on a 5.7L or 6.0L engine using Z06 manifolds, No cats, stock 2.5" mid pipe, and 2.5" turbine feed pipes from h-pipe back?
My old car ran a PT76GTQ which was a bit laggy out of the hole in 1st (2.73 gear, 3400stall) Used 3" "Y" pipe to turbine and 3" charge pipe. I would like to build another system, and either use a slightly smaller single system for better response, or smaller twins. Thoughts, suggestions?
Though there are nice kits on the market, I'm a good fabricator and always on a tight budget, so buying an APS or TTiX kit are not options.

Nick Yoskin can help you out with a nice top mount kit if that interests you. Having turbos up front should help larger turbos spool nicely and make as much power as your heart desires and tires can hold.
With rear mounts, I am guessing the A/R has to be lowered, but is partially compensated for by having no real exhaust behind the turbos. Having a lower A/R and roller bearing journals will help with spooling. I think East Texas Muscle cars is doing twin GT35r's.
