Is Torch Red returning for 2010 model year?
I heard a rumor (on another section of this site) that they are bringing back Torch red for 2010. I waited a few days to see if something was posted in this section but still haven't seen anything yet (which leads me to believe it's not true, since this section always has the latest scoop first)
So can anyone confirm or deny if this rumor is true?

What we're hearing is Torch Red for sure, plus one other new color. I'm pulling for green. Guess we'll see in April.

Have not heard a thing but Torch Red would be a good choice.

Bringing back TR would be a good omen that GM might actually be turning around, because they never seem to address their mistakes. How they got involved in paying people to figure out why to drop a popular color in favor of a red that was so unpopular that they dropped it immediately and then switched to a red that they use on trucks never made much sense.
If GM does bring back TR, it will be interesting to see what they do with the existing red interior, the shade of which would really clash with TR. They have never thought that far ahead in the past.

Yeah, . . .
Yeah, . . . I wish that "green" would
come back. It has been too long.
I liked that "Bowling Green" color.
A dark green with cashmere interior. Nice.
Chevrolet would paint the corvette
3 different shades of red before 1 green.

I believe GM gave up "Torch Red" and Ford grabbed it.
Look at the Mustang color chart.
Can they just take it back?
Can both GM and Ford have a Torch Red?

I believe that Rick "Corvette" Conti hinted in an earlier post on his EVS website that Victory Red and a close to 1996 Admiral Blue were rumored. The blue might be dead-on as we are expecting a Grand Sport version available on the 2010 Coupe and Convertible.

Changes ???
I have heard the same rumors that you folks have heard. So, I called a local Chevy dealership and they went looking on there Computer, maybe at a site only the dealers have access to. They found that code for the old Torch Red was there for 10 and that the current Red and the Orange were not now listed there. They also said they found something on a different Blue. They wonder if the Blue will have something to do with a Special Car like maybe a Pace Car or a Grand Sport. So, it looks like some changes are in the works, but what. We will all probably know more around the Birthday Bash dates usually in April... Also, If I remember correctly the main difference in Torch and Victory was that Torch had a little Orange in it where Victory was a more on Direct Red. ... I do remember that when Torch Red was removed there was a big squak about this. I think 1 C6 was built in Torch Red and sent to Detroit for display. They were later told that the color had been discontinued. I remember seeing something in print on the elimination of Torch red that Dave Hill finally said, Get over it, its gone. I think the Torch Red C6 Corvette is in a photo at the Corvetteconti.com site...

GM thought a deeper red would suite the sharp lines of the C6 better. They said that Torch Red allowed the lines to get lost. There is one TR C6 and it's at the NCM... I've seen it in person and it looked nice. They came out w/ precision red in '05 that was very similar to the deep red on Infiniti G35s... looked great. Enthusiasts pitched a bit of a fit so they cancelled the color (making PR C6s rare) and switched to Victory Red which is a truck color which is more of a pure fire engine red. Out of all of them I like VR the best... TR is more orange w/o being considered orange at all.
EDIT: Admiral blue from the C4s should look incredible. Especially if they're making a real gransport edition w/ a wide body coupe/vert.
