Whoa! I just saw those same wheels, albeit different center caps, on a new Cadillac CTS! What is going on with GM and there new wheel designs? The only recent one I like is the new "spider" pattern for the '09 Z06. But, that's just me.

I think the Z06 wheels would look great on your car.... You CAN get them (reproductions that is) in standard C6 widths.

I like them, but they're more suited to a Cadillac than a Corvette, IMHO.

If you like them, that's all that matters. (They are kind of spendy, though.)

I have the standard 5 spoke chrome, which I like, but I really do hate the Gumbys.
I think the seven is also good, but I like the 15 spoke the best. Wish I could switch to those ( at no cost). Would have ordered the 15 if I had the chance. But thats JMHO.

For GM to go from the old five-spokes --> to the gumbies was a definite downgrade. It was just a pointless move. The gumbies are not "hideous" or anything like that...but I guarantee you NOBODY would purchase them if they were aftermarkets. Nobody.

I have the 15 spoke and they are ok ,easy to maintain. If I was doing it again probably buy from CCW .

They really aren't that bad. If they were silver and not polished they would look 1,000+ better!

I hope people realize by reading this thread how difficult it is for a manufacturer to decide what to offer. Everyone has a different opinion on which wheel looks better. I think the "Gumby" wheel (which I still don't know how it got that name) is the best looking stock Corvette wheel probably ever made. A lot of people hate it. Who's right and who's wrong (besides me )

I think the 7 and 15 spoke wheels would look at home on a Caddy.

I think they both look horrible on a Vette (no offense to owners). Neither of them are sporty in appearance, so I don't think they "fit" with the rest of the car. In fact, you couldn't pay ME to have them on my car.

I also think the 05-07 comp gray 5 spoke looks better than the 08 comp gray split 5 spoke, but what can ya do?

Looks like the rent-a-car already has some major curb rash! I bet that will be a common problem on these cars...
