You are correct. They used a preferred shop. But if you look at the job done by "Callaway" Vs somebody else, the Callaway jobs are better.

Sugg Retail Price: $7,300.

These prices do not include paint and installation. During the C4 Aerobody timeframe, Callaway did not physically perform the paint and body panel installation. A couple of local shops were commissioned to do the actual body panel paint and installation, closely supervised by Callaway staff. In fact, Callaway does not paint and install C4 body kits now either.

Must have lowered the price. I paid $8350 plus shipping. Plus additional shipping on missing parts.

I would have to disagree.

Could you please send me any paperwork you might have with the $8,350 price. I just looked at your order in our system, shipped 3/1/06, and the order reads $7,950, plus $103.86 freight. We haven't changed the $7,950 price in several years.

Regarding the shipping charges for the missing parts: I had specified "No Charge Shipping" on the order for these parts, but our records show that two shipments were made and you were, in fact, charged for freight on one of those shipments. I don't remember why we wouldn't have addressed that then, do you recall?

Thanks.

I owe an apology. My emails stated the amount was $8350.00. The actual amount charged to my credit card was the $7950.00 plus shipping.

When the gills were shipped separate from the rest of the package, then one of the gills was missing one of the connectors. Shipping is a cost of the order, so I have nothing but GOOD things to say about my Callaway AeroBody!! If you took that otherwise I apologize for that too

I also must state, that every Callaway I saw at BG was very well done and the fit and finish on mine was just as good. I just wanted to point out that one isn't necessarily better than another.

There are some really nice Callaway AeroBody installations out there that were done by some excellent shops. I wouldn't automatically assume that "non-Callaway" installations are not as good as the complete cars supplied by Callaway.

Also, everything I have seen about that charcoal Corvette ZR1, points to it being a ZR1, not a CR1

Are you suggesting they're STILL AVAILABLE to purchase?

I'd be all over a rear bumper and gills
