Default location of obd ii plug/connector

Can someone please tell me where the obd ii connector plug is located on an '06 C6 vert? My 'Check Engine' light came on and I have access to a scanner tool to check/clear the code if it's nothing serious. I rechecked the gas cap and just filled it up with 93 octane (the only two things the manual tells you to do before you take it to dealer). Problem is - I've looked everywhere but the right place to find the sucker. Your help would be greatly appreciated!!

Dead center of the steering column underneath. It will feel like a rectangular.

This page will give you an idea

Many thanks to docrings1,hazchris,2lt-z51 and vetteramI.
You guys are the greatest and so is this forum - no sarcasm, just help.
I guess I'll just blame my ineptness on these damn trifocal glasses. Anyway, thanks again, guys!!
