Default accu-weather vette

i live in NJ and its been real cooled, below freezing. So today i get in my vette and in the odometer area the car's message is, ice possible. Know my question is this, how does the car know there is ice when i just turned her on? maybe when the thermistat goes below 32 it automaticly sends that message? and if not, why wont it tell me when its going to rain? lol.

If you have the Z51 equipped car, be more careful of SNAP-OVERSTEER due to the tires.

It will warn you of ice when it sees temps below 34 I think. Nice when your driving along and the temp is dropping as the sun sets.

What exactly do you mean by "SNAP-OVERSTEER"?

a little gas the rear tires don't bite and around she goes real bad as you pull out from that fast food place and suddenly find yourself sideways. ( this happened to me not with the vette but an 87 supra when the turbos hit in bad weahter watch out. That car only had 300 hp to. With 400 ponies and slippery tires you have to be judical with the loud pedal)
