Default Stock LT1 exhaust resonator size

How big is the stock GM resonator for the LT1 exhausts?
I'm trying to find a resonator for my C3 exhaust system and was wondering
the dimensions of the box and the pipe sizes...

It's pretty big... the pipes are 2.75", and it's everybit of 30" long, and about 8" across. It's no more then 4" thick.

The body of it is just over 20" long. It is not quite 6" top to bottom and just under 8" wide. The pipes are 2 3/4" but actually go down to 2 1/2" entering and exiting the unit.

Have you looked at magnaflow? They have one (part no. 12469) which is 3in in and out and has a built in x pipe. You can also get it in 2.5 in. Go on ebay and put in magnaflow 12469 and then look for performance peddler. I believe they have it for about $95.00 shipped. By the way, I called magnaflow about these and they said that they are now all stainless steel, its just not polished stainless steel. One other thing, magnaflows web page show deminsions.

Thanks for the size info. 2 3/4" hmmm, Oh I see its really 2.5"
What's inside this resonator box? Is it empty or full of diffusion chambers?

I looked at the magnaflow unit you spoke of. It's very short compatively.
I take it the stock unit has two separate chambers for the flow. I'm surprised they didn't add a hole between the chambers.

What do you guys like about the magnaflow unit? Sound, reduced resonance, etc?

Thanks.

Thanks for the pictures and measurements...
Is it just a chamber inside there, or is there perforated
piping, etc. in there.
