That's how it is designed to work.

that is exactly right, the mirror light switches are backwards intuitively, push them in to have them turn off...sheesh chevy

Default O'Ring

As I stated above, I did push it in and out several times and it seemed to have not dimmed any lights at all. I did what the manual said to do. So anyway, fiddling around with it must have worked. Strange.
But thanks again, my Corvette family. I can always count on support from you....
Do what I do, put a thick, tight O'ring on the push switch, I hold the **** out and work the O'ring on all around. This solved the problem.

I have a different problem. when I leave the car all the lights goes off except for the reading lights under the mirror. they go dimmer but not off. I didnt notice that with the stock blubs but I did when I put those LEDs. I waited about 5min and they didnt go completely off. I didnt check after that. is that normal??? I keep forgetting to check them. but I will when I get my car back next week

Any other suggestions beside going to the dealership?
I'm betting that the switches are in the "on" position. They should be in. In = off, out = on.

That's EXACTLY what the problem was, in addition to getting the combination if the dimmer switch position and the reading lights position correct at the same time.

Gotta be one of the stupidest design ideas I've ever seen in a Corvette.

Pushing (and releasing) that button one time turns on all interior lights. Pushing (and releasing) again turns off all interior lights, but map lights don't go out immediately.

You had previously pushed and released it once when you were detailing the inside of the car, but didn't realize it. Nearly all of us have done that sooner or later without realizing it.

It is normal. I have had my LEDs for years. They just stay dim. Dont worry about it. Will not drain the battery. I have gone 2 weeks without driving my vette.

Surprised no one mentioned one of the doors being.....AJAR. I had the interior light stay in and tried everything. Pushed the little knee **** on and off after reading the manual and pushing the mirrors buttons in and out. Finally figured out the passenger door was not completely shut.

This is kinda funny as the same thing happened to me. Took me a while to figure it out and second time I did it was a slam dunk. Now if I could remember not to have crap in my pocket with the fob then my trunk open light would not come on going down the road. One day it happened as I was almost home and I figured I would reset the trunk when I got home but stopped by a road construction flag man he let me know my trunk was open and I felt dumb just thanking him and driving on.

Hey, some people here (most) can't be bothered with reading all the information presented. Skimming should be good enough to launch an opinion.

And Oregon has been around for almost 10 years???
