Default Anybody have a C6 Torque Tube laying around?

I would like to confirm the C6 manual torque tube length from the face of the small bellhousing face to the larger rear transmission face. Got one from eBay with no markings...just want to be sure. Thanks.

We just got back from 4 days at Laguna for ALMS/etc...was a blast!

I would appreciate it....this tube is new...easy to tell that, but doesn't have the normal stock number sticker I normally see or springs near the trans bell section......

Hehe....guess reading retention isn't my strong suit. You PM'd me a few times with "I think so" and "I need to check for sure's" and I got all messed up on the message.

Looks like yours is 56" to my 55 7/8"....close enough for GM tolerances I am assuming....hehe

Thanks.

That is a C6 tube. The C5 is 54 3/8" and as I remember the C6 is 1 1/2" longer.

HEHE...now you guys are contradicting one another....I LOVE BUILDING RACE CARS FROM SCRATCH WITH PARTS FROM ALL OVER THE PLACE....DOH

hehe....I guess I can believe it is OK with a grain of salt...will bolt them together with the bell and see what I get for the hell of it....

Ah...more mud to the mix.....When I attach the bell to the TT, the measurement is EXACTLY 62.5"!!!

But the bell is approx. 6.5" deep.

Go figure...hehe

Are you using a stock bell or Quicktime steel scatter shield?

OK...for future reference...if anyone needs this info

I bought another TT off of eBay because it was cheaper to get all the "guts" from the TT than buy them new from Chevy. Am replacing the driveshaft with a Driveshaft Shop one.

I got a Z06 from a 2006-7 car....part number 24236106 and it is the exact same length as the one I had....that is 55 7/8" from the bolt surfaces....the wide "bell" at the tranny to the narrow one that bolts to the bell housing. If you include the bell housing, it is 62 3/8" or 62 1/2".

FYI

Default Length of transmission

Hi
Can anyone help me with the overall length of the transmission from the centre line of the diff to the back face of the engine.

This is so I can see if a C6 transmission will fit in my Jaguar without lenghening or shortening it.

Thanks
