Hood dimensions
Recently picked up a hood that's too small for my hood opening by 3/8".
Measures 47" at the center and 49 3/8" at the corners
Could someone with an unhit front end give me the length dimensions of there hood. Thanks

Bob,
Hey great thread, sorry I am not near my car so I can't tell you what mine measures.
But while we are at it, can someone throw in the width dimensions also?
Mine seems to fit well front to back, but I always thought the side gaps were a little big.

Small block hoods are all over the map. First of all at the factory small block hoods and 65-66 BB hoods could be worked on the edges, and no two are really the same. They should be from 1/4 to 3/8 narrower than the opening, but not all of them were within spec. With the 67 BB hood the skin rolled over the edge. Those were more consistent and not worked on the edge.
