BMW Jacking pads for GS?
I saw in the FAQ that BMW jacking pads will fit a C6. Anybody know if they'll fit a GS? Just want to confirm before ordering. Thanks

Yes they will...I have them installed on my car, so I never have to worry about jack pads, they're already there...
BTW, get the round ones; the rectangular ones stick down too low...they just pop into the holes in the frame...

I understand that the BMW pads are easy to install but very
difficult to remove. Should you need to be loaded on a flat
bed I would think access to these frame slots would be necessary.
Can anyone comment on this attribute?

Otherwise, insert flat end screwdriver between pad and frame and give a twist and it will pop out.

I change to track wheels several times a year on my ZO6, and another forum member gave me a rectangular BMW puck. I punched out the locking guts and keep it in my tool box. Careful when doing this, as some very sharp internal parts, an cut my finger pretty bad.

For those that are curious here is what they look like:
Being only 1/2" think you might have a problem with some jacks that have deeper pockets. When I had my flat yesterday the shops jack would hit the body panel even with with my thicker hockey puck. We removed the lift pad from the jack and just used the flat area it mounted against the puck to get the car in the air. A small piece of wood on the jacks lifting pad would have worked but they didn't have any laying around. Might have to start carrying a piece.

I installed the round ones. They extend about 1/16 to an 1/8 of an inch below the rocker panels. Just low enough to protect the rockers, but not low enough to be seen.

They have been on my Vette now for close to 5 years.

So you guys feel safe jacking up one tire at a time? I thought you were supposed to either put the car on a lift, or jack up using those cross beams because the frame would twist if you jacked up one wheel at a time.
