Default AFR 195 heads exhaust port shape

Can someone with AFR 195 SBC heads tell me if the exhaust ports are D shaped.
Nothing on search and AFR has not replied.
My Headman's are D shaped.
Thanks.

877 892 8844 , give them a call and ask them. They have good tech support.
Probably are D shaped.

They are rectangular not D. Saw one.
Will take a D gasket and check coverage to see if rectangle is obstructed.

I'm using the same standard Hedman Headers on my new AFR 195's that I had on the iron heads.

Are the D shaped Hedman ports bigger than the rectangular ports on the AFR's?

Info for anyone doing a future search on this subject.
Took D- shaped gasket for my Hedman's to local speed shop and compared to exhaust ports on AFR 195 (AFR 1034) heads with rectangular exhaust ports.
The D openings are larger than the AFR rectangular exhaust port openings.
So the exhaust gases will flow freely. Yee Ha!

Interesting. My AFR 195s were D shaped when I received them. However, after I had them ported they were square. They must have stopped using the D shaped port.

Default Quiz for the day: "What is the purpose for the D-port shape"?

The real question is "What shape of header tube do want for a D-port head"?
For street? For race only?
Why did GM use the D-port on the L98 head?
