I live in Eagle River. It's kind of a suburb of Anchorage. It's actually about 10 miles north of Anchorage, but the land between them is federal military land, so no growth potential there.

As far as the cold goes, I have to agree with you there, lol. If not for the fact that all of our kids and their kids are still up here, I would be gone by now. I'm at that point in my life where I just want to have fun. I love my Vette and motorcycles. I just don't get to do enough of that stuff up here. Riding season is maybe 4 months long. I drive the Vette maybe 5 months out of the year, so yeah, it kind of sucks, lol. The summers here are great though.
