Bought an electric headlight kit from you sometime ago.
My mechanic was able to get the vacuum working and I no longer need the kit.
Would you buy it back or suggest I sell it on the Forum?

Thanks Richard. I worked it out. I used the wiring diagram from Willcox...wired directly from the switches with power coming from the accessory junction block I have installed. I put in an inline fuse as a precaution. Per Willcox, the wiring harness they sell requires the original wiring set up. It works well.

Richard, I am now working on the doors of my custom 81 project. I don't have the original wiring harness...I am working with the Highway 22 kit from American Autowire. I have been going over the wiring diagram on the Willcox site and I wanted to run my plan by you if that is ok. I'm going to buy the regulators, motors and a power window relay from Willcox. I will also buy their harness (w/power lock). If I am reading the diagram correctly, I only need to run a dedicated 12V wire and a ignition switched wire to the relay. That relay is then wired to the switches that are plugged into the motors. This seems very easy to me...too easy, and with my electrical knowledge...I should be concerned! Lol! Any thoughts?

Thanks for the reply and the wiring diagram Richard for the rear defroster wiring I'm working. I don't have a great understanding of the diagram...sorry. Are terminals 87 and 87a supposed to be connected to the rear defroster? The other terminals are spelled out nicely. Is this diagram intended to be used with the original switch or and aftermarket on/off switch? I'm assuming a simple 2 terminal on/off switch would be wired into the ignition.

Richard, I have posted a question on the C3 tech forum with little response. I'm thinking you have the answer/advice. If you remember, I'm doing a restomod on a 81 car. I'm working on the rear defrost wiring. I am using American Autowire Highway 22 kit. I do have an original rear defroster switch, but, I don't think that is a great option for what I'm doing. I'm thinking I should just run the 12V wire from the accessory side of my ignition switch with a ground. I'm thinking that will give me basic on/off function with no timer...which is fine.

Is this a safe/effective approach? Thanks, Jim
