MD, I read alot of your posts and respect the advice you provide the forum members. Was hoping you could provide some insight my lifter selection. I have a set of Johnson's Short travel (.058") link bar lifters #ST 2126LSR for my new rebuild. I think they are a little overkill for my combo but wanted to know how they are to install (set push rod length) and how they hold up to track and street usage. I am picking up my short block this week and will be bolting on my new Advanced Induction heads and installing the motor this weekend. My cam is mid(for me) at 240/252 on 113.
In California, the blackened tail lights are not allowed ? Highway Patrolman explained it was not an issue of amount of light emitted when brake pedal applied or even when lights are on. It is an issue of the lighting no longer being able to reflect light from approaching vehicles if your car was parked along road and all lighting off. Apparently, the film used negates that reflective ability. I was bummed because I loved the appearance of my Vette with the lighting blacked out ( back and side lighting)
Michael, I have a black Z with the Adjure Black Onyx LED tail lights they look great and you can see them about 26ft farther back than the originals. Call or get up with Josh at RPI the number is 888-257-8515 he is great to deal with and you won't be disappointed. I hope this helps.
