Im not even seeing a deck shell as being available for that one, shows not available. Probably HAVE to go through a dealer and pay the big $$ price.

If you could find a good used deck, like on craigslist, they usually go for 150 or so, complete. Your engine is likely the Kohler Courage...its not Kohler best effort but alot of people have very few problems with them. Usually if they were going to blow up, they did it in the first 100 hours. The trannys were not bulletproof, but as long as they arent used to pull alot, and hills are minimal, they lasted okay.

I dont think you could get away with a deck off a newer model, MTD has revamped the mounting system, belt routing, etc a few times in the past few years. What is the model and serial (under the seat) of your mower? I looked up what a deck costs for a 2007 model, and the deck skin itself lists for about 400 dollars.

Sanford, Great doing business with you. You kept me in the loop the entire time during the transaction as well as sending installation info. You're a solid guy to know. The exhaust sounds great just hoping you're as happy with your new set as I am these.

Sanford thanks so much for being understanding. When the mufflers I ordered came damaged so that I could not put them on and ship you the ones you had paid for in advance I felt bad. You are a true credit to the corvette community. I am glad that the extra shipping paid off with your mufflers being in very good shape when they got there. Enjoy them and feel free to drop me a line anytime.
    You’re an A+ guy

Thanks again for all of the patience and assistance you afforded me during the lengthy time it took me to get off of my butt and complete the purchase of your fine C5 Convertible. As I am a newcomer to the Corvette world, your help was absolutely invaluable.

Thank you for walking me through all of relevant details about your C5 such as installed options, common modifications and general operational issues. Thank you also for picking me up at the airport and to your missus for providing me with the delicious lunch before I hit the road. The C5 was a blast to drive on the 2-day roadtrip home just as you promised it would be. It was also in showroom condition just as was stated by both you and the gentleman that performed the inspection. I absolutely cannot think of a beter way to join the ranks of Corvette owners. Working with you has been an absolute pleasure. Best wishes to you and your family.
