I have a vette posted in the c3 general section, 1970 350 350 that needs some rear drivers side fender work. I am sure it will be hard to tell but I am looking for a general cost of repair and one of the guys in the thread recommended you

I have never used Transtar paints. I would be very surprised if Transtar actually had an exact match for Marlboro. Unfortunately, it is not likely that you will find a good match anywhere in the modern paints, if thats what you are trying to do. You might try to get a sample of lacquer from Auto Color Library in PPG. Then spray it out and color match that with a BCC system. Use the higher quality lines of PPG, Dupont, etc for the best materials. You might also ask the supplier if there are formulas on file where someone else has done the matching process. However, thats no guarantee either.

Hi Wayne, I own a 1967 marlboro maroon corvette. I am just preparing for a body off restoration. I ordered a paint sample from Transtar and had it sprayed out. When i compare it with the paint on the car it seems a little lighter. Very similar but it looks like it is lighter and little more maroon. The paint on the car is from 1975. Is it common to see this difference? Should i be concerned or is the paint supplied from Transtar a true match for the 67 marlboro maroon. Your comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike

I have a 79 corvette and i had the p\s pump replaced for a leak ,i bought a pump from RIKS CORVETTE in north carolina and can't get power steering back. Since the initial change i have put two more pumps on replaced the steering valve, slave cylinder, all the lines and the pulley and still no power steering. I balanced the valve, made sure the lines are crossed and bled the system and still no power steering. Can you help me.
