    Hello Spin,

So Im building an LQ4 408 stroker with L92 Top end. Your cams look amazing for what I want but I notice you list like 3 or so to pick from out of those 3 or possibly by now what do you think would be the best cam for my combo? Car will be Driven Daily and I want to run my AC I live in TEXAS lol..

    Fast 102
    ported LS2 TB
    52lbs injectors
L92/Heads Stock intake runners and valves, I am polishing and massaging the bowls and ports on the exhaust side very light work will be done nothing extensive.

This will be a NA motor heads are being milled .030 as well Compression should come in about 11.5/1 roughly.

    Cam thoughts sir?

Might I add man your a GURU. how long have been playing with motors and cams? I only hope my knowledge will continue to grow as yours CLEARLY has!

    Hello,

I have a 2005 GTO (with an L76/L92 top end) that I'm considering having a cam swap done on. I'm local to the Springs too.

Do you perform cam swaps on cars and if so, what do you charge for that? I'm assuming a cam swap would include a new cam, springs, pushrods, and other small parts. Not sure if you do tuning.

    Thanks.

Have you had the opportunity to review the MSD Atomic AirForce intake manifold?

In short, are the specks for the Ls3 cam the same for the Ls2?

    Hi SpinMonster,
I have appreciated all of the information that you have offered of this forum. I have a question on my '06 Ls2. I am doing a head and cam upgrade. A few month ago I purchased LG g5 x1 cam 228 230 588 lift 114 lobe separation. I am now matching it up with a set of 225 trick flow heads, but now that I have stumbled upon you and the forum, I have been reading about your cam shaft and really am impressed with the Hp and Tq numbers along with the drive ability.
My question is: Will your cam work in my Ls2 automatic w/ stalk converter and what thickness to comedic mls gasket should I use to for best compression? What length of push rod with the mls gasket and cam would I need?
I will plan to purchase my intake and throttle body ported from Bob and Peak's Shop and cam purchase, with your response. Please offer the cam duration numbers that you would recommend for me.
    Thanks for your time.

    Morning Spin,
With working with Bob Schustedt, he recommended me contacting you to get your opinon about what type of cam kit I should buy.
Here's what I have and all this will be going in my 37 Ford truck hot rod.
2012 LC9 5.3 with a 6L80 transmission. From Bob I'll be putting in a LS2 radical port car intake manifold, LS2 fuel rails, and a ported car throttle body.
I'm looking for a cam that will add some hp but may not need other engine work. I've had a friend suggest a "HOT CAM" because of the easy installation.
    In advance, Thank you.

By the way, about 4.10's hurting performance if its too much, Subfloor ran 3.42's on his A6 600rwhp car that ran a 9 sec pass at the track with a sub-2 second 0-60. An A6 with 3.42's is like my car having 5.xx gears. He said that his 60 foot was shorter and he had less wheel spin. Nuff' said about traction and gears right there.

I lived with 4.10's through 800rwhp and MT ET street tires. When time came to go back to stock to sell the car, I changed the diff to stock first. My 0-60 per scans were 2.44 with 4.10's and 3.0 with the 3.42's. I dont see a down side to 4.10's and you wont see any difference in driving it between 4.10's and 3.90's except you lose some of the performance from the 4.10's. The argument for 3.90's is if the car is tracked, 3.90's allow a higher trap speed. 4.10's help traction because they slow down the rate of rotation at any given rpm. At 3000rpm in 1st gear with stock gears you are moving at a faster MPH. If you break traction, you car can't hook until the tire rotation matches the speed of the car. Since 4.10's rotate slower at any given RPM, 4.10's hook faster because the car can catch up to the speed of the tires. Guys do burn-outs at the track in 2nd or 3rd because they spin faster and the car never hooks until you come off the gas. That because of the tall gears.

Spin, hope all is well. I'm deciding on getting my 2nd vette... Not sure if I should do an ls3 or a Z06? Basically, the car is just going to be on the street. I'm looking for 550RWHP and atleast 500TQ. I will be doing full bolt ons again and gears but I am undecided on 3.90's or 4.10's??? All i'm looking for is the quick response and reaction time from like 0 to 140... Not interested in going any further. What is my best route to go with??? I was thinking in just getting a Z06 full boltons, cam, tune and 3.90's... Just tired of the run around from other vendors.
Your help would be greatly appreciated!

    Michael
