Also if you should choose to accept this Mission the vehicle history says a hundred thousand miles and then it just goes off into the ozone and it says mileage unknown for the rest of the vehicle history report I don't know what happened but Gary is saying it has like in a 62000 so I guess looking at the car and the seats and things like that you can get some kind of an idea sometimes on how many miles it really has on it so this is a confusing part to me maybe a genuine Carfax or AutoCheck would be a preferred method over the vehicle history report I'm not sure I would like to know what the mileage is

Sometimes you can clean the key off with alcohol then slide it in and out of the switch a few times to clean the crud off the switch.
Probably won't work but who knows?
I had an 87 that did the same thing. I had the FSM and followed the testing procedure to find out I had a bad VATS module in the dash. Got a good used one from Vette2Vette and had no trouble since then.
I have a 91 now and have the FSM for that too. If you shoot me a PM I can copy the "no start" page(s) and e-mail them to you.

That would be great if you could send me them

This is something we can do. Where are you located? Would you like to see the car before I put it away for the winter?

I was there Friday afternoon and all day Saturday. I spent Saturday afternoon on the show field and cruising the parts area and the auction. The owner must have showed up later in the day.

I posted everything I had. The only teal I remember was a ZR1 that sold. I spent time at the auction, the swap area, the dealer area and the golf course so I'm sure I missed some things.
