C8 Insurance
I know ive seen this question asked before, but who has best insurance rate for a C8? I have a perfect record and my insurance company wants to charge me close to $5K a year for my car and thats just NUTS. I know there is much better rates for this car for a 55 year old with a perfect driving record. Any ideas is much appreciated. Thanks

State Farm. I pay around $1200 a year for full coverage $500 deductible.
52 years old, married, clean driving record.
That includes a multicar discount due to the fact we have two other vehicles insured through them.

For my C8 its about 156$ a month so about 1870$ a year but I park it for 6 months out of the year so really I pay half of that. Depends on location and if its in a bundle(mine being high being in Alaska). State Farm has always been good to me.

I could not get past the NCM disclosure where it's parked in the garage. I do not 100% garage mine. So NCM is out for me.
$4800-$5000 seems crazy though, especially outside of California. I use Mercury AIG, but my time is split between 4 vehicles. Even with that, I am around $800/yr for the C8.

There's no "best" insurance company for everyone. There are at least a dozen (probably more) factors each insurance company takes into account in determining your rate, and every insurance company has their own way of weighting them. You might think your age and driving record are the key factors, but where you live, where you park your car, your commute, your job, and even your credit rating affect your premium. What's best of a 50 year old with excellent credit in Kansas might actually be terrible for a 30 year old with weak credit in New Jersey or Florida. Or vice versa. If you live in an area with lots of claims your rate is going to be higher, even if YOU haven't made any, because the insurance company is covering it's costs over their entire pool of drivers, not just you. Insuring your home and car with the same company can get you a big discount sometimes.
The only way to find out is to get actual quotes from multiple companies that write policies where you live. Many of the big companies will give you a quote online. For some others you might have to contact an agent.
For ME, Erie Insurance was the best. 3 cars, including the Vette, two senior drivers, $900 per year. Even NCM couldn't beat them, and I don't have any arbitrary mileage or usage limitations on my policy. Make sure you understand NCM's limitations before you go that way. Erie doesn't write policies in all states, however.

It’s mind numbing how much insurance rates have skyrocketing in 2020 I paid $559.54 per year for my C7 insurance now I pay $1275! Still that is far less than OP pays.

I just renewed all our policies. NCM hasn't raised my rates in years, daily drivers have decreased, umbrella unchanged BUT homeowners has skyrocketed but so have property values.

Nobody can answer this question for you. The #1 factor for rates is first based on the state you live in. Then city, then driving record. After that, a dozen more factors come into play. NCM is also useless if you DD your car. They primarily cater to garage kept cars that are taken out every third Sunday.
