Finalist 2020 C7 of the Year -- Unmodified
Newest Last generation Vette for me.
Because of the C8 going Mid Engine from Front Engine platform and EV future scenario and also going from Sports Car /Muscle Car to Exotic Super Car looks. Has anyone besides myself made the C7 the last or latest generation of Corvette they will own. It has been almost 6 model years of the C8 and I still have not acquired a taste for its looks. It usually takes me a year or two at the most to warm up to the next generation. At least GM saved me a lot of money.

I can’t say I won’t buy a C8 in the future, but I do like the look of the C7 better and the C7 has plenty of performance to keep me happy.

I have less interest than I ever may have had. (In anything to do with a c8)
100% in agreeance, Always Red Dave!
I'm not sure what would change our minds at this time?
Here's mine:

I completely agree and bought two 2019 coupes. I even had a C8Z allocation and gave it up as I just don’t like the C8 styling.

I once surmised that because of the C8's bulbous shape/size, that I'd likely prefer the C9, assuming that the dimensions would be modified with a nod toward improved shape & sleekness. But, the automatic transmission would still be my overwhelming reason for passing on the purchase of one.

I too purchased a 2019 M7 Grand Sport because I wanted to own the last of the "Traditional Classic" Vettes. I was fortunate to land a low mileage, only 1670 miles, with a 7-Speed and in the color and trim I wanted. This will likely be with me for a long time barring major issues.

My wife and son in law 'suggest; to me to go drive a C8. I could nudge my wife if I wanted and buy one. Son in law loves to give me ideas on spending my money.
But, I need a third pedal. A requirement when I bought my C7. Maybe in 10-15 years.

Wow did not expect to see forum members saying the main reason for not wanting a C8 is because of it not having a manual transmission. I thought the majority would not go with the C8 because of looks and mid engine platform. Interesting. Well my C7 is a A8 so no manual transmission in the C8 was not a deal breaker for me.

Mine is 1st & only. While it's a great car, it's too small for me. Not just in comfort, but space.
It's paid for, so I'm keeping & living with it for now. Scat Charger is what I wanted but not paying 60K for a car that has been unchanged for almost 10 years.

Same, took me a few years to warm up to the C7 I like the rear of the C6 better but front of C7 better. Just not a big fan of C8 look or cockpit. No manual yet either. So i pulled the trigger on my 1st and probably last Vette. I love it Being delivered in 2 weeks Bought it in Jan been waiting for 4 months due to travel and some family items we had going on and best to leave in my brokers showroom for a while. Always Corvette weather here in Fl.

I, too have not warmed up to the C8, & I am a manual trans. guy as well. Likely the C7 is my last Vette, I went even to the real deep end & added a 2019 ZR1 to my C7 fleet to keep my 2016 Z06 convertible company, even at 73 years young, a third pedal is a must.

I'm on my first and maybe only Corvette. Wanted a manual transmission, great looking and performing sports car and I got it. The latest greatest doesn't always entice me to purchase things, there are many reasons I won't be moving into a C8 - cost, looks, storage space, passenger comfort, ability to work on/perform maintenance, and cost of maintenance. I'll never forget the time I saw a C7 on the highway - feel incredibly blessed I'm able to own one.
A C6Z manual would be my second choice.
