Seeking Advice on Used Corvette C7 Stingray LT2
Hey folks,
Hope all's good! I've y eye on a used Corvette C7 Grandsport LT2, but it's got a history of rear wheel collision. Any advice or tips for inspecting such a car before buying? Your expertise would be a huge help!
here are some pictures of the accident:

46K is a lot of money for a branded title.

BUY IT. It looks like all plastic damage. See if you can pull/drive it forward thru a wet spot and track the wheels. It looks fine. Frame is the only thing I'd be warry about.

Thanks for the input! Just wanted to check with you - do you think $46k is a reasonable price given the potential plastic damage, considering the car has been fixed? Also, would you recommend any specific checks for the frame to ensure it's in good condition?

I couldn't do it. If that wheel is off just a bit the ride won't be right and you'll be chewing thru that tire faster than the other 3. If the title says salvaged, I was always told it's bc of frame damage.

We have a dealer here in MD selling beautiful vehicles at a reasonable price. I inquired about a truck I saw and they can't sell it to me bc MD doesn't allow them to sell salvaged vehicles bc MD won't title them. That was news to me. The first question they asked me what state I lived in. And I asked what determined them to be "salvage" titles and they said frame damaged. You wouldn't know looking at them but I moved on. Personally speaking, I'd look for another Vette

I get that 46K might seem steep for a branded title, but after looking around, this really is the best deal I've come across for this car. and tomorrow I'm going to negotiate the price with the seller.
here is the photo of the car after 3 years of use since the accident and 12k miles:
It's got fully wraped with ppf and also premium delrin 100AF bushings and new set of wheels.

I would never buy a wrapped car, but that's my opinion.
You never know what's underneath the wrapping.
For all you know, the body panels may have been put back together after the repair and never painted. Just wrapped instead.
Branded titles hurt a car's value more than the 25% discount I see here from a clean car value, especially in a Vette. You will never be able to unload the car if you need to.

Can you have a reputable dealer put it on an alignment rack and see how it looks. I would definitely have an independent shop inspect it. I was looking at a C7 last fall. I looked it over and couldn't find anything wrong and I have owned a C7 before. The seller agreed to have MacMulkin Chevrolet inspect the car. They found $15K worth of repairs that were needed. That was the best $200 I ever spent.
