No it's not, and it's never been part of the Great Lakes. The Great Lakes are lake Superior, Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, Lake Erie, and Lake Ontario.

    That's a FACT.

Hi Joe -- I'm writing you privately because you have incredible experience road tripping in a Z06 and I wanted to avoid so much of the noise in the forum from those with strong opinions and zero experience.

I'm in St Louis, by the way.

By the time I price out my dream 2015 Z51, the Z06 isn't that much more. I drool over the look of the Z06, My biggest concern are the tires. If I bought the Z51 I would swop out for all seasons. I'm really concerned the Pilot Super Sports will be too sticky and perform too poorly in rain for a road trip car. Would you be kind enough to share with me your view on this issue?

    All my best!

Good deal man, thanks for the info. I'll probably start this tedious process in about a month or so. I just got done putting the feelers out at Superior Chevy up here in KC and they are talking $70k ish right now, but I haven't begun to really work them seriously yet since I'm not really ready to buy. Good info though especially since Springfield is just a hop, skip, and jump away.
