Where to buy QUALITY C6 headlight lenses and gaskets
I'm ready to tackle the lens replacement on my C6. I've watched on the videos and I am ready.
Where can I buy QUALITY C6 headlight lenses and gaskets? I want something that will last and is high quality.
Also is it a simple part swap to upgrade the headlight bulb to LED and the switchback to LED while I have the headlights out of the car?
Thanks.

- I vote Umnitza as recommend by EviLS7 above. The lenses are perfect IMHO.
- Unless Umnitza has upgraded their gaskets (I bought mine 2 years ago) I would get the gaskets elsewhere. I didn't like the open cell rubber ones they sold at that time. The gaskets are only 1/8 thick so you may not care.
- It is an extremely simple upgrade to switchback LED's just install the new bulb, but you will have "Hyperflash" (I like the faster turn signal, but you can buy (or make yourself) a plug-in harness for each bulb to restore normal flashing.)

For lenses and gaskets, RLSebring sells some reproductions that are pretty good. Personally, I have Umnitza's first batch and they did not hold up. They say it is due to some manufacturing issues and they will replace the lenses, but I'd still have to change them out or pay to have it done which is a pain and costs a bit.

Normal: Light flashes - 1 second - Light Flashes -1 second - Light Flashes -1 second - Light Flashes -1 second .....
Hyperflash: Light flashes - 1/2 second - Light flashes - 1/2 second -Light flashes - 1/2 second -Light flashes - 1/2 second -....
In my case after a year or so I added the harness to slow the lights down, and upgraded the rear lights to LED. Now I seem to have approximately:
--- Light flashes - 3/4 second - Light flashes - 3/4 second -Light flashes - 3/4 second -Light flashes - 3/4 second -Light flashes - 3/4 second -
YMMV - This is on a 2005 (which always seems a bit different than the other C6's)
BTW my lenses look as good now as 2 years ago. I add Lamin-X film when new which can self heal light scratches and small chips from the road. The downside is that your lights will have a slight orange peel shadow in the sunshine if the sun is just right, but you can always remove it.
I would also consider their butyl sealant I found it extremely easy to get the new lens to fit. Use a bunch of spring clamps around the edge of the light and let it sit overnight. The lens will be perfect in the morning.

These guys sell them https://www.umnitza.com/chevrolet-co...ht-lenses.html. They are on the forum as well.

RLSebring for gaskets. Made thicker and they come with new push nuts. Never reuse mine, just side crimp cutters and replace with new. I'm trying these lenses: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2005-2013-C...53.m1438.l2649
UV protected and stock gaskets fit. I don't think you can use stock gaskets with Umnitza?

Our lenses are identical to the factory lenses, so you can use all factory parts - gaskets, gasket washers, and factory LaminX to cover it (which we recommend for longer live and added UV protection).

I second using the LamimX UV protectant to make the lenses last longer, not to mention going with Umnitza as the vendor of choice.

RL Sebring hands down....had work done inside and out and it was spot on. The lenses and gasket looked better than the OEM.
Easy Choice.

Also I have the ONLY non-Chinese Lens. Mine are made in Taiwan (BIG DIFFERENCE) and my newest lens are made in Mexico. My thicker streamlined gaskets and Thicker factory reproduction gaskets fit either one of my lens perfect. Both of lens are DOT and ECE (Europe) compliant.

Within a year the top layer of the lens started delaminating, almost looking as if the lens was peeling. To umnitza's credit, they did say they had seen a few of these peeling cases in their very first batch and offered to replace the lenses, however, that requires me to send back the defective lenses within 30 days of receiving the replacements. Since I had them done at a body shop, and the Corvette was my only car at the time, that wasn't really possible. I wasn't going to pay another $400 dollars to have them swapped and the price of a rental car because their manufacturer dropped the ball. I plan to have them addressed this year, though. I have another car to drive and I will try and swap the lenses myself to save the body shop costs. Now that they've been on the car for about 3 years or so, they are starting to yellow a bit, several years before I saw the same with the OEM lenses.

I never did get around to changing out my lenses. I actually picked up a set of white headlights from a grandsport that was taken off at 13k miles. I plan to just swap them completely and replace the lenses myself with some RLSebring units I picked up a while back.

I was just reading about his lenses. I guess I'll probably go that route and buy his. 🙏🙏

I replaced my lenses with RLSebring ones in 2014, 50K miles ago, and they still look spectacular. I also purchased a spare set and gaskets from him at the same time, but it doesn't appear that I will be needing them anytime soon. Quality product for sure.

How are the gaskets compared to the factory ones?
