Wow - crazy cool, Dennis. I think I'd have an accident in the first 30 minutes just playing with it. But I'll probably get it.....one of these days!

I messed with one of these back in early November at SEMA and was blown away how cool they are. I had my Galaxy SIII connected to it and did a Google Search.
I am putting one in my Grand Sport

How hard is it to install?
I have a '11 GS vert and hate the factory NAV unit.
On the Crutchfield site it says this unit is NOT compatible with my car, but is that really true?

I can prewire this so its plug and play with the exception of 1 wire which I will tell you how to connect
This wire is a connection of a orange wire I would have extended off the Kenwood harness and you will need to connect it to the gray wire with black stripe on your SW control module
You will want to add the Maestro SW control module to retain the SW controls as well as this is the only option for harness to answer and hang up phone calls with the SW control buttons
These 990 units will be shipping soon in April as well. I am putting one in my own Grand Sport
Let me know any other questions

Thanks Dennis! I assume "SW" is steering wheel control module. Where is this located?
Is the Maestro SW module not included with the kit? Cost?
Also, is there a good tutorial on taking the console and radio out? I've done a few of these types of mods before, so this doesn't scare me, I just don't want to break anything.
Thanks for your quick response and help.

Yep SW means steering wheel controls
No its not included as its an optional add on as some earlier models didn't have this option
It is a small box that will be wired into harness and go behind the dash
There is great pics and info here on how to remove the bezel

And you have me available for tech support too
Crutchfield also will not be able to prewire the harness the way we know how to make it so you do NOT need to cut into the stock harness like they tell you too. Just something extra we figured out how to do to keep from cutting into the car

Just the SW control module so far
The harness and T connector will be very soon. I just got an email from them this last week they are done with all the Fords and working 100% on the GM stuff now. The Class II radio on the C6 will be coming. The GM trucks and SUV's are first in line for release. They should be at our place shortly so we can work on the software for the C6
We have found a way to use the GMOS04 from Metra with the ADS SW module to eliminate the cutting of the stock harness. So things are getting closer!
