The trailer has a current inspection, D rings at each corner. I'm lowered about 1.5 inches and the car clears without a problem. All I use is a couple of 2X12 pads to get it started up the ramps.

Mine is lowered also. I installed a 2X12 on the driver side and the door clears the fender just fine. A fix-mounted splitter would be a problem unless you backed the tow vehicle onto ramps first.
