Re: Testarossa Vs 2002 Z06 (testarossa)

New 2002 black on black Z06 arrived. I am breaking her in an enjoying every minute of it. It is a much lighter car than the Testarossa with a lot more torque. Handles better in the corners and has a quicker out of the hole. Not as broad of a power band, but that was expected. I am using it as my daily driver and always look forward to an excuse to fire her up. I will let you know haow she handles once I get a chance to open her up.

TR,
Need an excuse to fire her up? "I want to see if it will start". It's not good for it to start it, and not let it fully warm up. That is oil temp, at least what the water temp reads. So, I may as well take it for a ride, so the trans and all that gets broken in too, since I have to run it anyway.

I often wash mine after each run. Then I like to drive it a few miles to make sure no water is "standing" in any hidden spots. Then if it gets dirty, you can start the whole process over again. Oh, if you take too long to wash it...make sure you drive it long enough to warm up fully!

Follow this advise and you'll have it broken-in in no time!
