What is recommended gap for NGK TR55 plug for stock 2011 LS3?

.040 as per your owner's manual.

Read the owners manual, also looked on forum and there are lots of replys ranging from .040 to .060 and somewhere in between. Think you are right just go with what GM recommends.

My MO for almost anything, is to go with what the Owners Manual recommends, unless there is considerable verifiable evidence to the contrary.

And don't believe that all new plugs are pre-gapped. In my many years of changing plugs I've never seen all the plugs in a box pre-gapped correctly. My first plug change was my '49 Ford in 1957.
