Default *** The C6 Ultimate DIY Thread****UPDATED***

The purpose of this thread is to try and consolidate all of the DIY and How To's posted here in the tech section. Alot of these threads have some great information and some very helpful pics and tips so in an effort to get everything in one place and save some time searching I encourage you to let me know about a good DIY thread so I can include it here. I am not saying don't post it in the section but let me know and I will add it here so it will be easier to find in the future.

I will start a table of contents in this post and try and update it as things are added...please PM me if you post an article in here so I can update the TOC.

That's a great write up, but definitely need more pictures explaining each step.

I'm sure some folks on here could add some other pointers to make it the "ultimate" cam install DIY.

Great write up, note if you have a Z51 there are a few more steps and you will have to discharge your ac and pull the condenser to get the rad out.

A few more steps indeed, but it can be done without discharging the AC. It's a tighs squeeze, but you can leave the A/C condenser in the engine bay.

Default C6 Partition for less than $20

Go to the hardware store and get a 12" x 72" x 3/4" piece of pine for less than $15.

Can of black spray paint for $3.

Cut to dimensions/pictures below.

Paint.

Enjoy! ( yes that is a spare tire hard-mounted to my trunk floor )
