Default daily driver pads

I used to go all out on pads even for street. Now, lazy me, I get the lowest dusting pads I can buy. Save my cleaning wheels for track days only. Just my opinion after about 11 years combined racing, open tracking, nice car on street tires, etc, etc. I know I am NEVER going to have more than one panic stop in a row on the street which any pad will do in a Vette, and I hate to clean wheels!

Go to NAPA.

Get 4 cheap rotors and a set of Cyramix pads. Think it cost me $275. I just did mine this morning, replacing the exact same parts. I was actually doing the shocks and figured that I might as well do the brakes again while I was at it because it has been 18months and 20k miles.

Wasted my money, the freaking pads were barely 1/2 worn and the rotors were just like new. I went ahead and put the new parts on since I already had them and was "there".

Good news is now I know those pads will last me a few years and 30k miles probably. Keep in mind my car is a DD and is in traffic frequently, so I am impressed with the pad life.
