27,000 miles on my 03 LS6. Yes I changed the cam way back when, ( to a 224/224 581/581 112+4) and new springs every two years,

Gel Battery? I went back to an AC Delco...

stock springs are good for about a .550 lift.

Springs are cheap, change them.

But with a new cam you also need a new timing chain, springs, Maybe rockers, and a tune.

Stiff suspensions, springs, shocks and bushings make for better handling and YES a ruff ride. That is the way it is.
