recommend You send it to Brandon @ abs fixer...he has the correct relay that needs replacing in that EBCM, and the right tools & experience to fix it...plus he warrants it for as long as you own...

Brandon @ absfixer.com or (877)648-7530 repairs EBCMs ... I believe he replaces the "relay" that usually fails creating that C1214 code...you may want to contact him:

I went to the Yellow Top (from a Red Top) for the very same reason...Yellow Tops' will hang in there longer on a C5... ...if yours sits like mine did for long periods...here is what really solved my...
