    Hi Bill,

I need help! I live out east of Dallas in Hunt County. My beloved 2004 vert with manual came under rodent attack. Worked over my engine harness pretty well. In doing my research, I see that the 2004 engine harness is unique for the stick cars (10339505) and impossible to source. Multiple sources "reported" that a harness from a 2001-2003 manual car will work, with the exception of moving a few pin outs on the pcm plugs. (I pulled the trigger and purchased a 2003 Z06 harness from Vette Villans up in PA.)

Can you verify? If this is accurate, I would like to review the pinout diagrams for the manual cars (the 2004 and the 2001-2003, respectively). Which leads to the next item of getting my hands on the two distinct diagrams. I see the 2004 PCM diagram thread-which solves for what my car looks like, I just need to source the 2001-2003 diagram with manual transmission.

Thank you for your service to our nation.

    TC

Hi Bill thanks for your reply in the thread on shock absorbers on Thursday. I am not a frequent post person here on CF so I may have messed up by posting on the thread. Actually I intended to ask if my C5 skipping sideways in the rear in corner bumps is worn shocks or just the nature of the beast. I figure any loss of contact with the pavement is shocks or tires. There were good suggestions in the thread about the GM shocks and Bilstein also. I see you have several vett animals to care for so you have devoted lots of time. Again thanks for the reply and for helping out folks on the forum. Chad Lawton, MtnCornerCarver.

    Bill,

Would appreciate if you have time to take a quick look at my thread in the C5 Tech forum titled "Serv. Tire Mon. Sys" . . . . would love to have your thoughts. I'm not quite sure where to go from here . . . Thanks for any assistance in advance!

    Hi Bill,
    My name is Darold,
I am told you are really good with electrical issues on c-5
I have a 2000 coupe automatic, and i'm having an issue with my parking lights. they always stay on and the chime sounds like the key is in the ignition, although it is not. The security light flashes also on the instrument panel.
I have tried all the following : both modes of twilight, on and off
disconnecting the battery, btw this will kill the battery obviously if i ignore it.'
put the key in and out several times, oiled the ignition switch,
the courtesy lights are in the off position,
any suggestions you could send will be greatly appreciated!
Someone on the forum suggested it may be the ignition switch, and another thing i tried is the multi function switch in all combinations.
Thanks for your time, it is appreciated.

Hello Bill, 2001 with radio lights not working. A friend bought this and radio lights are not working. He did change all the bulbs, still not working. Radio itself does work. I read that the BCM controls the lights. Do you happen to know which connector and pin to check for power for the bulbs? I looked at various diagrams and I really stink at understanding them…thank you Jack. jjfoster69@aol.com

Bill, this find saved me hours and $$ on my C5, that the dimmer for dash lights/HuD if turned all the way to right past detente, is a battery killer. Thanks for all you do here, greatly appreciated!

Hello Bill. I've been think about you, hope all is well. I tried to chat with you a couple of times, but no word back. I ran a PCV system and catch can. Cleaned the intake, changed plugs, and 02 Sensors like you told me too. However, my car never made it home a month ago when I took him out for a test and a few WOT hits to blow out the sea foam and dialectic lube. Turned out to be an $8k costly mistake, but hope to have it back next week.

My 2000 C5 had a very intermittent starting problem. Would turn key to start and SOMETIMES would only get flashing dash lights and clicking noise. Usually could cycle off and it would start fine. I checked battery connections and they were fine. Finally it refused to start at all. Had it towed to dealer where they replaced battery. Two days later same thing. My wife had it that day. Had it towed to dealer. They kept it for a week. Again would only not start sometimes. Suggested grounds as per your post. Asked them to clean them since they had the car. When I got home checked them myself. They had cleaned the connection at the frame but had not pulled the plugs apart. I did and there was corrosion in them. Cleaned them and no problems for two weeks now. Thanks for the info.
